The locking edges are arranged to form a grid, thus creating a large number of contact points with the adjacent surface.
The surfaces of the workpieces (if the bearing surface is soft) suffer only slight damage. Locking edge washers provide an excellent level of security even with phosphated or primed and painted surfaces. |
The locking edge washer protects against:
- loosening by its spring forces
- unscrewing by locking edges on the surface of the washer
The dimensions and the design conform DIN 128 Shape A or DIN 6905.
Further more it still offers the long spring deflection of high duty lock washers through:
- The alternating wire profile slope
- The special positioning of the arch peak
At a glance:
- High tension forse with long spring deflection
- Protection against loosening and unscrewing
- Proven even with radially loades bolts
- Reusable
- No widening on tightening and releasing
- High unscrewing torque
- Suitable for magazine deeding and therefore appropriate for automatic feeding when assembling
- Minimum stress on the bearing surface
- Additional torsional stress because of the alternating wire profile slope around the circumferences
- Dimensions conform to DIN 128A and DIN 6905
